Program & Teaching Concepts
Home with a Heart is a Christian Rehabilitation home-like environment dedicated to helping men get set free from the bondage of Drug/Alcohol abuse ONE DAY AT A TIME! We provide our services at NO CHARGE to any man who has completed a detoxification and assessment process, regardless of age, race or creed.
Since January of 1993, we have had the honor of seeing 4300 men come through the doors of our program with over 3800 of them making decisions for Jesus Christ! Our eight-week program is designed through the teachings of the Holy Bible, and the 12-step principles of Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and Celebrate Recovery. We are solely supported through contributions from area churches and organizations as well as individuals. More than 50 area preachers give of their time to come and have daily devotions with the men, to help them develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Home with a Heart is also a tobacco free facility.
Another important aspect of our program is group and work therapy. Once a week Dave Hair from Easley, SC conducts a group session through the Bible with the men in order for them to better understand themselves and others, the director/staff conduct a daily gold nugget class and teaching the biblical 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and Celebrate Recovery. Covenant Baptist Church from Anderson, SC also comes once a week to have Bible study with the men. We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to these men and the many others who give of their time and money to our cause.
The Home is located on 29 acres of land with a 2,000 sq. ft. home for the director and his family, plus two 3,700 sq. ft. dormitories that hold 20 men. We also have a beautiful 2,800 sq. ft. chapel with a fully equipped commercial kitchen and a 5,000 sq. ft. sanctuary to have services and classes. All of the facilities here have been made possible by churches and individuals who believe in the work we are doing for God. Our job is to help return those men that suffer from addiction back to their families and society through the power of Jesus Christ!
